Mini watermills in street drains can generate a small source of energy as water flows down into the sewers. It might power lights to help see in the rain, it might feed back in to the grid, it might just relieve a bit of the concrete guilt.
About the Idea
Concrete, concrete everywhere…and all that rainwater just running down the drains. Why not maximize every opportunity to turn waste into energy? There’s infrastructure everywhere so we should cram efficiency into every nook and cranny of it. It’s a start to getting things flowing in the right direction.
